ok my fave thing about ep 10 of yoi is the fact that phichit is absolutely willing to believe that his best friend eloped. Not that he got engaged or they exchanged promise rings, but he straight up believed that the night before the Grand Prix Final, Yuuri fucking Katsuki married Viktor, invited no one, and kept mum about it until someone dragged it out of him.

I just realize. That would be The most EXTRA thing todo do and Phichit automatically believed it…which probably means Yuuri has done some EXTRA shit un Detroit if his roomate believes it so automatically!!!
In episode one of Yuri on Ice, everyone watching the video of Yuri skating Victor’s routine is either shocked or surprised… except Phichit. Phichit, our warm cinnamon hamster roll, saw the video and chuckled a heartfelt “Yuri”.
Yuri said he practiced the routine like they used to in the old days, meaning he hadn’t tried to copy a Victor routine in at least 5 years.
What does this all mean?
1. Phichit never ever doubted that Yuri could perform a gold medal routine.
2. That was a laugh born from fondness, of seeing his roommate, rinkmate, and best friend being a cheeky little turd and, dare I say??, outskating the Living Legend ™ with his own routine.
Phichit might not have seen Yuri practice a Victor routine before, so that fond chuckle means Yuri has always been a little sassy and always been a better skater than he himself thought he was.
3. Yuri is Phichit’s best friend and Phichit was just happy to see his BFF get his love of skating back.
