Having an extremely important discussion with @n-x-northwest on Chris’s role in the Summer of Mutual Pining, and now all I can think about is Victor being like ‘I don’t know, if the banquet was so out of character for him, maybe he’s not all that interested.’ (Victor kind of assumes that everyone has Victor Nikiforov-fatigue deep down – he does most days, after all.)

And Chris is just like, ‘let me find that link, brb.’ And then 20 minutes later he resurfaces with an extensive YouTube compilation of every time Yuuri has ever mentioned Victor in an interview.

(All of these are Yuuri, like, suddenly yelling extremely detailed praise
of Victor’s artistry without a whole lot of prompting from the
interviewer and then clapping his hands over his mouth like he just
confessed every one of his fantasies in public.

Chris: … you’re watching it again, aren’t you

Victor: YOU KNOW ME YOU KNOW I HAVE NO DIGNITY)

AU of sorts where Chris walks up to Yuuri after the Sochi Short Program and is like “My friend thinks you’re really cute and was pretty impressed by your skating today, but he thought it would be weird to just walk up and hit on you, so I’m doing it for him. Can I get your number?” Viktor, who is dying somewhere across the room, can’t decide if Chris is the worst friend ever or the best.
